ABOUT GREENTOP & DAVID LANFEAR
Greentop has grown out of David Lanfear’s work in the Natural Building Industry. In his professional career, David has built sustainable homes and energy efficient buildings since 2001. His commitment to sustainable and regenerative construction eventually led to him combining green roofs with his natural building projects. Greentop was born of a commitment to the environment and is driven by the imperative to innovate.
Greentop is constantly experimenting with growing mediums, plants, watering systems, planting systems and whatever else we believe can be improved on and more to give you the highest performing green roof possible. We are informed by the results of our own work as well as the latest research into green roofs.
Greentop operates primarily in Western New York, which gives us unique knowledge of our climate and weather and allows us to design for these specific conditions. We work with the top growers and nurseries to source our plants. Our growers, like us, are dedicated to innovation and quality and always help provide the right plants for the job, whether it is cuttings, plugs, mats, or trays.
Working with you
Greentop works with architects, general contractors, developers, building owners, homeowners, and designers to install any type of system, from plugs planted in place to pre-grown trays or mats. We also install adjustable pedestal pavers and other amenity components to make your green roof accessible and ready to enjoy.
Maintaining your green roof
We offer maintenance contracts to help insure the long term success of a client’s green roof investment, even if we didn’t install it. We truly believe green roofs can save the world and are always looking for new ways ensure that our projects are successful in doing their part to make rooftops the vanguard in a regenerative economy.
